Warmest greetings from Kiwanis Malaysia District.
This year signifies a notable milestone as we proudly recognize the distinguished Anugerah Ibu Award, an annual event inaugurated by our pioneering Kiwanis Club of Taman Tun Dr Ismail in 2001. This cherished initiative has evolved now into a district-wide project, emblematic of our collective commitment.
This decision was not made hastily; rather, it stems from a profound acknowledgment of the immense effort mothers have invested in simultaneously navigating work and raising their families. Their remarkable contributions leave indelible impact on their children’s lives. Recognizing the extraordinary and exemplary mothers among us, Kiwanis is inspired to identify and extend our heartfelt honours to these exceptional individuals.
An esteemed team of committed Kiwanians, led by our Organizing Chairman, YBhg Dato’ Fatimah Saad, who brings a wealth of experience from her 30-year tenure as the Director General at the National Population and Family Development Board in Malaysia, coupled with 8 years serving as the Director of Implementation and Social Outreach Division for the Qatar Foundation at the Doha International Institute for Family Studies and Development in Doha, has been meticulously curated for this exceptional project.
In our vibrant Kiwanis family, spanning across Malaysia, we stand as One Team One Mission, a potent force for good—dedicated advocates for positive change in every community we touch. Aligned with our global organization and our Motto of “Serving the Children of the World,” we strive to shape a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Through this project, we aim to inspire mothers facing challenges not to lose hope. To all mothers, we convey that their efforts are not in vain, and we assure them that their sacrifices will not go unnoticed. Recognizing them as Earth’s Angels, we honour and cherish these mothers for the profound impact they’ve made on their children and families.
The triumph of this project hinges on the submissions from the general public, each mother undergoing a meticulous evaluation against stringent criteria to ensure the chosen recipient stands proudly as one of Malaysia’s most honorable mothers.
Furthermore, the success of this event is intricately tied to the sale of tables at the event scheduled for 20th April 2024 at Courtyard by Marriot at Setia Alam. We earnestly implore corporations, organizations, and individuals to join us generously in contributing in-kind or donations, helping us raise funds to make this event a resounding success.
In anticipation, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all contributors for their invaluable support towards this event. Your contributions will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact not only on these mothers but also on the various projects Kiwanis is set to embark upon.
Thank you.
Sincerely yours
MICHAEL CHEW
