Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis passionately dedicates itself to championing children and fostering inclusivity, ensuring every child realizes their full potential. They affirm the vital role of education, healthcare, and a nurturing environment for children’s growth.
Kiwanis believes that a nurturing home is supported by caring parents. They hold the paramount importance in the well-being and development of all children, especially those with special needs. Parents serve as the cornerstone, providing love, support and guidance to create an environment where children can truly thrive.
Since 2001, the Anugerah Ibu Kiwanis has been championed by the Kiwanis Club of Taman Tun Dr Ismail. This distinguished event is dedicated to honouring exceptional mothers who selflessly worked towards enhancing their children’s lives and at the same time contributing to society. Beginning 2024, this event elevates its status by being a Kiwanis Malaysia District event for broader recognition and heightened awareness on a national level in Malaysia.
Acknowledging and celebrating the impactful role of mothers in shaping their child’s future with love and compassion is crucial. As primary caregivers and advocates, especially for children with special needs, mothers embody the sentiment that ‘The Hand that Rocks the Cradle Rules the World’, beautifully encapsulating their profound influence on their children and the work they shape.
